New to the sport?
Here are some clothing tips;
The best way to dress for winter is in layers. Next to your skin should be a wicking layer. Generally thermal underwear made of a synthetic fibre, which can move any moisture away from your body.
The middle layer is the insulating one – keeping the heat in and cold out. It can be a sweater, sweatshirt, vest or pullover.
The outer layer is the protection layer. It should repel water from snow and block the wind, such as a winter jacket and snow pants. Jeans alone are not recommended as they will absorb moisture from a fall.
Either gloves or mitts are good as long as they are properly insulated for winter.
Happy feet are a skier or rider’s best friend. One pair of medium weight socks are the best.
